The only thing that hasn’t changed in the 84th annual New Franklin Tournament is Friday’s slate of games. Everything else, well, is a bit different.
Below are the updated versions of the bracket submitted by New Franklin athletic director Ross Dowell. Normally, a December snowfall doesn’t affect this particular tournament, but because New Year’s Day falls on a Tuesday this year, the first-round games were to be played before the Christmas break. Now, only half of them are.
Today’s games have been postponed until Jan. 2 and the games after that were pushed back a day as well. The significant change is that the seventh-place games have been eliminated in the tournament.
